Percy is a two year old German shepherd, who came in for severe aggression towards dogs and people. In the video, Percy can be seen prior to training, during training, and close to the end of his stay and train. His owner was afraid to handle him, startle him, or that he might start a fight with the other dog in the house. They told me they didn’t think they had ever seen him fall asleep outside of his crate because he was so overstimulated. They were afraid they would have to rehome him because he needed more exercise than they were able to give him.
Since training, Percy is manageable around people and dogs. But his owners are really thrilled to see the emotional change in him. He’s much calmer and has become a joy to have around the house.
“Prior to the training with you, with how much we were focusing our lives around him and how disruptive it was, my husband and I were getting to the point of thinking we needed to rehome him but with the aggression I was like ‘no one will take him’ and then that got me thinking down the rabbit hole of behavioral euthanasia. And I adore Percy more than any dog I’ve ever owned but it felt like having to decide between my husband’s happiness and Percy. And I didn’t expect a huge change but I was hoping for some improvement when I got home. But it’s been a HUGE improvement far beyond my expectations! All thanks to you! And the fact that you not only got him this far but also adore his little stubborn, diva butt as much as I do? You deserve way more than that.”
